MLF BL20 PSD Visualizer

Ibaraki University
J-PARC MLF BL20

The Ibaraki Prefecture Material Structure Analysis Instrument (iMATERIA) installed at BL20 of the J-PARC Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility (MLF) is a high-efficiency general-purpose neutron diffraction instrument that can measure and analyze periodic structures inherent in materials. (In wide range of d or Q) .

PSD Visualizer is analysis software that allows you to check the difference in time of flight for each detector position and the difference in peak intensity depending on the position within the detector bank.

You can extract 3D data of position (X, Y) and time of flight (TOF) as arbitrary 2D data by selecting the range and axis and draw a graph.

By understanding positional deviations due to detector replacement or aging, you can confirm the effectiveness of the position information parameters used for analysis.

Using Manyo Library, which is MLF’s analysis environment infrastructure software.
