“AxeLatoon Official Support Program” Launched : Supporting Next-Generation Measurement Engineers
We are pleased to announce the launch of the “AxeLatoon Official Support Program,” having received approval from the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK). The objective of this program is to foster highly skilled next-generation specialists in advanced measurement and control technology within the field of accelerator science, targeting students at National Colleges of Technology (KOSEN).
Background of Support and Our Contribution
Laboratories at participating technical colleges in the AxeLatoon project face the challenge of building high-speed data measurement systems utilizing practical-level FPGAs for cutting-edge accelerator development.
To address this challenge, we will provide participating KOSET laboratories with our SiTCP-equipped general-purpose board SOY2 and its daughter board SOY2-D1 free of charge. These boards boast extensive proven track records in the particle physics industry.
This is not merely a donation; it is strategic support that actively returns our cutting-edge technology to the educational field, strongly encouraging students to acquire practical skills while still enrolled.
Expected Effects
Through our products, students will gain exposure to technologies recognized in the research community, such as FPGA program development and the SiTCP data transfer protocol. We anticipate this will contribute to the advancement of Japanese science and technology while also establishing connections with highly specialized engineers for the future, strengthening our recruitment efforts.
We will continue to deepen industry-academia collaboration and actively engage in activities that cultivate future engineers.
